Director of Strategic Communication & Special Projects
As the Director of Strategic Communication & Special Projects, I have the opportunity to create and manage social media accounts, work with SMS/CRM messaging, and spearhead internal communication within the organization.
Odessa College is all about student success and creating opportunities to highlight students. “People of OC” was created to highlight students and their accomplishments. My role with this initiative was to find students that I could highlight by sharing their story.
I have experience working with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. The content on each platform is creative and different. The content is designed to intrigue students by creating relevant content showcasing the life of an Odessa College Wrangler.
“Positively OC” is an initiative that leverages social media to spread positivity on X (formerly known as Twitter). I am responsible for creating special content for the school president. Specific content is shared by the president every day, his posts consist of pictures, videos, and interviews.
Internal messaging is sent to students and faculty through CRM and SMS platforms. Retain CRM plays a key role when it comes to sharing important information with students about scholarships, transfer opportunities, and special events happening on campus. SMS messaging is sent out with reminders for payment deadlines, enrollment information, aiming to notify students on campus. During my time as the Director of Strategic Communication, sending SMS messaging has proven to be more effective when it comes to connecting with students.
There is always something happening on campus and as the Director of Strategic Communication, delivering accurate information is how my role contributes to the organization when it comes to communicating information in a timely manner.


Multimedia Specialist
2019 – 2021
Capturing moments, telling stories through a lens, and being the Multimedia Specialists on campus gave me the opportunity to be creative when it came to storytelling.
I also assisted with helping setup for events, live-streams, and video shoots. Along with managing the school’s social media accounts and creating creative content for all social media platforms.
Adobe Premiere is the editing program I use to edit short form videos to showcase what the life of an “OC Wrangler” is like.
As the Multimedia Specialist, I worked closely with students and different directors around campus.
