Where It All Began…

My journey started back in 2013 as an undergrad student at Eastern New Mexico University.

During my time at ENMU, I became a member of the News 3 New Mexico news team.

This was a student-run news channel that broadcasted live newscasts from campus every day on KENW (channel 3) a PBS television station in Portales, New Mexico.

The learning opportunities were endless: from learning to produce a newscast, work with audio, and direct a live newscast. News 3 New Mexico gave me the opportunity to gain experience in the world of Broadcast Journalism.

My love for news grew every day; the more I learned, the more determined I was to pursue a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
